08/2023 Three papers accepted at MobiCom 2023 spring round: (i) Our quantum wireless sensing work involves quantum receivers into the ecosystem of wireless sensing for the first time, demonstrating unparalleled sensing performance; (ii) Our 192 kHz acoustic sensing work unleashes the capability of acoustic sensing on smartphones by enabling 192 kHz sampling rate at commodity smartphones; (iii) Our powerline sensing work leverages the truly ambient RF leakage for contactless sensing.
08/2023 Our LeakageScatter work was accepted at MobiHoc 2023. We use the LiFi-leaked RF signals to serve at the carrier for backscattering.
07/2023 One paper acceted at NSDI 2024.
05/2023 Two papers accepted at MobiSys 2023. (i) Our LoRa sensing work increases the state-of-the-art sensing range significantly and addresses the severe interference issue for long-range sensing. (ii) Our VLC work considers the full-screen trend of smartphones and enables VLC to work with under-screen camera.
04/2023 Four papers accepted at IMWUT (UbiComp 2023). (i) Our Wi-Fi size sensing work is the first one to enable Wi-Fi sensing to achieve millimeter-level size measurement. (ii) Our smartphone-based UWB sensing work explores the feasibility of RF sensing on smartphones (iPhone) for the first time. (iii) Our under-water QR code work proposes a new QR code design to deal with unique challenges in underwater environment for easier human-human/device communication. (iv) Our earphone sensing work enables sensing human vital signs when target is walking/running on treadmills.

11/2022 Bracelet+ won SenSys 2022 Best Paper Award!
10/2022 Our sensing with mobility paper won MobiCom 2022 Best Paper Award Runner-up. We opened a new direction that is empowering sensing with mobility to boost the potential of wireless sensing. Our indoor localization paper won MobiCom 2022 Best Community Paper Award Runner-up. This is an indoor localization system currently used in more than 1400+ shopping malls and 300+ office buildings across 35 cities. It is used by millions of end-users on a daily basis. We hope the practical problems identified can change the focus and methodology of indoor localization research.
10/2022 Four papers accepted at ACM SenSys 2022. (i) harvesting RF leakage energy with body antenna; (ii) LTE-based low-cost and low-power sensing; (iii) LoRa sensing in the presence of device motions and (iv) room-level asoutics sensing.
09/2022 Our low packet rate WiFi sensing work won SECON '22 Best Paper Award. This work moves one step forward towards coexistence of WiFi sensing and WiFi communication.
